Examples of such resources that underscore the definition of renewable energy are sunlight, hydropower, and to a lesser extent also wood. Since the latter is very slow in being replenished, it is not usually counted among naturally replaceable energy resources, keeping it from actually being a form a renewable energy. Extracting energy from the earth should have little to no impact on our environment and it does not take a huge amount of energy to turn green energy into electricity you can use at home.
Businesses are gearing for the change in understanding of how energy works. To this end, wind farms and solar panel stations are now following the definition of renewable energy and seek to offer consumers eco friendly electricity as part of the energy they offer. Homeowners themselves are also beginning to harness this form of energy on larger scales, and it is not unusual to see a number of homes with solar panels, and some even with smaller wind turbines.
