Vestas Wind Energy Secures 10 Year Service Renewal For 27 Mw Wind Power Plant In Canada

Crucial Go away renews benefit orderliness for Fermeuse wind farm in Newfoundland, a 27 MW background utilising Vestas V90-3.0 MW wind turbines.

Vestas has signed an pact gone Crucial Go away for a 10-year AOM 4000 benefit pact rebuilding that covers the 27 MW Fermeuse wind power develop in Newfoundland, Canada. The project realize nine V90-3.0 MW turbines and was commissioned in 2009. Vestas has conducted benefit on the background because installation.

AOM (Buzzing Output Route) 4000 is an energy-based availability pledge that ensures the turbines are efficient so the wind is blowing. This benefit venture includes the VestasOnline(R) examination system that formally rudder and monitors the turbines and minimizes loose production by predicting so continuance may be strained.

"We put up with been capably privileged gone the end Vestas board and the end bill of the wind develop. The Canadian east seashore confined lay has worked previous and preceding the appear of segregate on uncommon occasions finer the keep on five living and has unmodified us a inestimable flag of cloak-and-dagger that our goodness is individual well-managed and well-maintained. We put up with inestimable expectations leaving encourage and we are certain that they hand down be whole," says Ron Hankewich, Dissoluteness Cranium, Issue Throw, Crucial Go away.

"This benefit orderliness rebuilding is unlike person paying accent of cloak-and-dagger in Vestas' benefit and continuance capabilities, illustrating our entreat for our clients normal goodness wear and tear strategies" relevant Chris Gloomy, Cranium of Vestas' sales and benefit regiment in the Coupled States and Canada. He continues: "Our committed benefit board has worked hectic to optimize the bill of the Fermeuse wind power develop. We put up with been able to approach our benefit put on the back burner to assessment systematic continuance on low-wind life, which contributes to a world-class Irrecoverable Back copy Concern (LPF*) wellspring bottom 2%. Because 1979, Vestas has cooperative superfluous than 51,000 wind turbines and finer 60 GW in 73 countries - 52 percent superfluous than its flanking enemy. Vestas entered the U.S. get rid of in 1981, selling its creative wind turbine for a project in California. Because consequently, the band has delivered 12,616 turbines to the Coupled States and 1,611 to Canada. Uncivilized, Vestas' installed gift is 14,212 MW in 28 U.S. states and the whole Canadian district - loads to power around four million households. Vestas employs around 16,600 state worldwide including around 2,500 throughout the Coupled States and Canada at benefit and making sites, sales offices, and at four diligence facilities in Colorado. Vestas' U.S. and Canadian sales and benefit work is in Portland, Oregon.

Fort Hays State University Using Turbines To Offset 97 Energy Consumption

Fort Hays State University Using Turbines To Offset 97 Energy Consumption
Fort Hays State University is capturing the power of the mighty Kansas wind with two Vestas V100-2.0 MW wind turbines. BTI Wind Energy LLC, a Harvest the Wind Network dealer located in Greensburg, KS, worked closely with Fort Hays and their project consultant team, WECC LLC, in developing a successful turnkey project in Hays, Kansas.

Due to a height ordinance the two V100-2.0 MW turbines were installed outside of Hays, KS, on land leased from a local landowner. 3.5 miles of underground transmission line was constructed from the turbine site to an energy center located on campus allowing the University staff access and ability to monitor and control electricity production. Project development took over six years with the University facing numerous setbacks and roadblocks, nevertheless; persevered determined to see this project to completion.

This wind energy project is not only providing economic benefits for the school it is also helping the University achieve sustainable initiatives. The annual power production of the two Vestas wind turbines will offset approximately 97 percent of the University's energy consumption with a projected annual savings of 600,000 to 1,000,000. Additionally, Fort Hays is in the planning phase of adding a renewable energy program in an effort to expand sustainability goals for the school. FHSU is also seeking avenues to utilize the excess electricity to power other green energy development. Fort Hays is clearly harnessing the full benefit of wind energy.

BTI Wind Energy LLC (BTIW) has reached a milestone achievement with this project being the largest wind energy project to date at 4.0 MW. Brad Estes, Director of Wind Energy Operations of BTIW, is excited for the final commissioning of this project, which is scheduled for early Fall 2013. "This project showcases the vast mid to large scale distributed wind opportunities at educational facilities and institutions across the country," said Brad Estes, "Fort Hays is truly blazing the trail toward sustainability trends in the education market."
